Agent Nicole Lynn teases No. 1 Overall Pick

We did NOT see this NFL Draft leak coming

Happy NFL Draft week, friend! Just one more sleep until one of my absolute FAVORITE days of the year.

To be fair though, the week leading up to it is equally fun. It’s a time of whimsy, with the rumor mill churning at full speed in a land of infinite possibilities! I mean, really. Is there any other time of year when Reddit users actually have an impact on NFL Draft odds by posting anonymous rumors? (More on that in a few.)

As we know, NFL agents can sometimes be the source of these rumors (especially this time of year, as they make one last push to get their clients to the top of NFL Draft boards).

One of our absolute favorite agents, the 🐐 Nicole Lynn (who negotiated a record-breaking deal just last week, NBD), is no exception this year, stirring the pot in dramatic fashion just one day out from the draft.

Lynn confidently announces that she’s signed the No. 1 overall pick.

She even shares a signature Adam Schefter breaking news graphic.

We know this is VERY OFFICIAL BUSINESS NOW.

Who in the world is the No. 1 overall pick for 2023? Is it Bryce Young? Is it Will Levis? How does Lynn know with such certainty?

Have the Carolina Panthers leaked their suggestion?

SURPRISE!

Baby Lynn, coming to you July 2023!! 🥳 🎊 Congrats to Nicole and her family on their latest addition.

So, who’s actually favored to go No. 1 overall tomorrow?

As it stands at this very moment, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is the heavy favorite to be drafted first overall by the Carolina Panthers, with odds at -1000. That means it would take a whopping $1,000 wager to yield $100 in profit if Young goes first overall.

Though Young is indeed the heavy favorite, that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been some interesting odds movement, however…

In fact, just yesterday, Reddit user SaleAgreeable2834 shared that Will Levis has been telling friends and family that he is, in fact, going to be drafted No. 1 overall. You know, good ol’ trusted NFL insider, SaleAgreeable2834 — he’s never led us astray!

It didn’t take long for the odds to start moving once this puppy took off! Suddenly, Levis’ odds to be drafted first overall went from +4000 (very, very unlikely) ➡️ +400 (still unlikely, but a much greater implied likelihood than +4000!).

Betting Academy tip 🎓️ Most bets you can make on the NFL Draft are at plus odds, meaning with the rare exception of a few (Bryce Young to be drafted No. 1 overall, Bijan Robinson to be the first RB drafted). Why?

Because generally speaking, the NFL Draft can be super unpredictable! Plus-odds (indicated with a “+”) imply less likely outcomes — therefore considered riskier bets! The riskier the bet, the higher potential payout.

I think it’s all smoke and mirrors, personally, but it doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining!

Who is Will Levis anyway?

He’s that dude that put mayo in his coffee. That alone has to keep him off the Panthers’ board at No. 1, right? RIGHT????

See you soon, friend! We’ll be back tomorrow with some of our very best advice for betting on the 2023 NFL Draft, a breakdown of the names you NEED to know ahead of Round 1 and more. ❤️ Until then, XOXO.
